Types of Inlay Gems
Choose gem families by the stat and equipment slot they affect.
Game SystemsOffense and defense
The original system distinguishes elemental Valor gems for attack from Mercy gems for matching elemental protection. Other families address health, defense-related effects, or broader attributes.
- Read the exact stat on each gem in your client.
- Attack and defense families use different eligible slots.
Plan the slot
A good gem starts with a matching piece of equipment and an open socket. Check class damage type, gear level, and the gem’s binding state.
- Compare the result before committing valuable materials.
- Check the realm’s available gem families.
